On this date in 1966, the US Supreme Court decided Miranda v. Arizona. This decision would result in the warning given to criminal suspects that cops, crooks, and fans of police procedurals know by heart.

  1. Miranda made a small living out of autographing Phoenix-area coppers’ Miranda cards, till he was murdered in a bar fight in the 1980s. I guess he didn’t turn his life far enough around.

    In some crazy way, I sorta DO miss those pre-Miranda days.
    I think it managed to let a lot of worms out of a lot of cans.

    To me, it was the snowball that was kicked down the mountain.
