—William Powell was a marvelous actor in his day and didn’t really mean being type-cast as The Thin Man.
—I always liked his voice, and we’ve no one I can recall that had anything close to the manner in which he delivered his lines.
—His last film was Mister Roberts (as Doc – 1955).
One of Hollywood’s greats, even if many don’t recognize it.
He DID make a LOT of films.
