gunslingers

I was surfing the channels last night looking for something to watch on TV. I ran across a show on the American Heroes Channel (formerly known as the Military Channel) called Gunslingers. It appears to be about gunfighters of the wild west. Their stories are told through dramatizations and interviews with various experts on the era. Last night’s episode was about John Wesley Hardin.  Next week’s is about Tom Horn. I think this show just made my must-watch list. As if I needed another one of those.

Here’s a clip from the first episode. It’s about some guy who was a deputy marshal in Tombstone, AZ.

  1. John D.:
I;ve been [playing catch-up with this show…it IS pretty good (well-acted), and hopefully, it will get into some of the lesser-known badmen of the era.
Those experts have been on LOTS of other old west History Channel shows…they DO know a lot.

    Good call.
    Stay safe.

    • Yeah, I noticed some of the “usual suspects” on the show, including Paul Hutton, Bob Boze Bell, and Drew Gomber. All are experts on the old west, and good storytellers to boot.
