the walking dead – season 5 trailer

Over the weekend, I saw the trailer for season 5 of The Walking Dead. Normally, I’d hate to say I’m looking forward to October, but…

It looks like we’re finally going to find out what happened to Beth. It also seems as if Rick & company will work out some sort of uneasy truce with their captors. Cast members gave interviews about the upcoming season at Comic-Con. You can read more about that here, if you’re so inclined.

  1. John D.:
I have to agree with you…I’m developing a love/hate relationship with the show.
I LOVE the show, but I HATE the people they seem to meet who become “at odds” with the original ast.

Those who DO join up along the way and prove themselves a part of “the team” are a good thing (safety in numbers), but too many others out there have a weird agenda…not caring is a cure is found or not.
Have to say, it sure is a ground-breaking show…even better in some ways than a graphic/comic series

  2. I figured Beth would be back. She went from girl who babysits and sings in the background to a major character based on the amount of screen time she got last season. So they wouldn’t just ignore her, they would want to give her a good death if they were giving the character the heave ho.

As for the trailer, I like it but… it was almost too much. They sure seemed like they gave away a whole lot in that rather long trailer. I already knew that one of the Terminus guys was joining the cast, so that was enough of a spoiler. I almost regret seeing it. I like the surprises of the show.

    • Yeah, the trailer was kinda spoiler-y. Of course, with the cliffhanger ending they had last season, showing the group anywhere but inside that train car would be a spoiler to some degree or another.

As for Beth, it looks like she may have landed smack dab in the middle of a women-in-prison movie. I wonder if Pam Grier or Linda Blair will have a cameo.

      • Those are such 70’s women-in-prison references! During a period of time when female inmates wore Daisy Dukes and halter tops, and their prison job was prostitution for the governor’s friends. I’m thinking it might be an “Orange is the New Black’ scenario, so that Beth has to get a prison wife.
