“In my situation, days are like women – each one’s so damn precious, but they all end up leaving you.”
-Napoleon Wilson (Darwin Joston) Assault on Precinct 13 (1976)
Ain’t THAT the truth…
And this happens to be a really decent flick, for one with a “low” budget.
Back then, this was very plausible, but I’d love to see the street gangs try the same thing THESE days…not with all the tech available.
These thugs would rather ambush individual officers and not storm a station house.
In some ways, this reminds me of Fort Apache – The Bronx.
Have a great weekend and roll safe out there.
This movie actually got remade a few years ago, but I haven’t seen that version. I might watch it if it’s on cable some night, but I can’t see going out of my way to see it. There’s no way it’s better than the Carpenter version.
